Vole ControlVole Control - The signs to look out for when vole populations are becoming a problem, like tree damage, runways in lawns, nests and chewed fruit. Plus advice on what vole control methods can be implemented.

Vole baits like ZP rodent bait, d-Con Mouse Prufe and Rodex whole wheat rat & mouse poison are an efficient way to get rid of troublesome voles. It is always important to follow the given instructions when using rodenticides.

Application of toxic bait is the quickest and most effective method for removing troublesome populations of voles. Bait may be applied by hand in spot treatments by placing bait in runways or burrow openings. Hand-baiting is the only application method that can be used in urban areas such as lawns, ornamental plantings, parks and golf courses. Toxic bait also may be broadcast-applied according to label directions.

Zinc phosphide-based products such as ZP Rodent Bait are commonly used home rodenticides for vole control. But the two best-known brand names in the poison bait industry, d-Con and Rodex, are Warfarin-based. Warfarin is a blood anticoagulant, causing internal bleeding and hemorrhaging leading to death. It is important to remember to read all pesticide product labels thoroughly and comply with all directions given.

These vole bait pellets use ZP as the active ingredient. This unique acting material works by releasing a gas inside the stomach of rodents when they consume it. This active ingredient is amongst the most commonly used for vole control. The best places for application are in the burrows and tunnels where voles are active. You should apply 1 teaspoonful every 10 feet.

Vole Trap BaitVole Trap Bait - Using vole bait together with a trapping system makes using hazardous bait safer for non-target animals including pets. Vole trap baits like Kaput rat, mouse & vole bait can be used with Vole Control Bait Station Systems.
